Although machine safety and risk assessment within industrial automation are part of my previous work and potpourri of projects, I have largely stayed out of the ATEX area, and let ATEX experts take care of the advice, risk assessment and documentation of equipment in explosive areas. This mindset will end now.
In March 2025, I participated in an ATEX course at the Danish Technological Institute. My goal is to continue studying the directives and harmonized standards in order to provide services that include the evaluation and determination of ATEX zones.
