Summer Holiday Reading | It smells like summer. The sun is shining from a cloudless sky, the jasmine is in full bloom and the blackbird is singing from a distant treetop. Everything is good, and as it usually is, on a good Danish summer day. But there is something that sticks out and intrudes on me: My ingrained biases about you, me and everyone else.
Part of my summer reading includes ‘Bias Conscious Leadership – How diversity leads to better decision-making’ by Christina Lundsgaard Ottsen and Sara Louise Muhr (Djøf Forlag, 2021). ‘Bias-aware management’ is a professionally well-founded and well-written book, which I would recommend you to read without equal, if you have a desire to train your mindset and thus also have the courage to challenge your possible biases. – In any case, I am already in the process of examining my own (un)conscious and (un)expedient perspectives!
The fact that each of the book’s chapters ends with references to further and more in-depth (scientific) reading is, by its very nature, only a plus.
Have a great summer!
