The following shows a potpourri of some of the projects I have been engaged in over time – or still am. Please note that ad hoc advice and guidances for small and large everyday technical problems are not a part of the list.

2024 | Project management and systemization | Combineering A/S
R&D Project Manager. Environmental services.
Employed as a full-time R&D Project Manager assigned to manage the re-certifications during the transition period, while the new Combineering organization and senior management team were not yet in place.
Responsible of the ISCC EU – International Sustainability and Carbon Certification. Contact person to the RED II scheme owner and ISCC certification body. Supporting the ISO 22000:2018 and ISO 22002-6:2016 certification. Preparing/initiating the framework for standardized and legally required documentation. Conducting internal training sessions and presentations for managers and employees. Preparation, execution and following up on internal as well as external audits. Communication and collaboration with some suppliers in Denmark as well as abroad. Nudging the cross-organizational cooperation.

2023 | CE marking of an electrical equipment | Freelance
External consultant at a Danish retail company.
Consultancy regarding CE marking of an electrical equipment which is imported to Denmark from a country outside the EU/EEA (third country). Review and evaluation of the manufacturer’s existing CE documentation in relation to the applicable legislative requirements for CE marking of electrical equipments. Preparation of checklists of requirements for CE documentation and the procedures that must be established to ensure that the customer complies with his obligations as a distributor/importer of an electrical equipment.

2022 | Relational database | Freelance
Development of a relational database for managing and cross-referencing of legislation, directives, regulations, DS/EN/ISO standards and industry-specific instructions, etc. The primary purpose of the database is to create a user-friendly and searchable overview of the applicable legislative and/or business requirements, which particularly are set for machine safety, CE marking of machinery, substances and materials, chemicals, quality, environment, working environment – and not least certifiable management systems, which in and of itself also relate to csr, sustainability and business continuity.

2022 | CO2 footprint calculation | Freelance
External consultant at a company belonging to the manufacturing industry.
Initial mapping and indicative calculation of the CO2 footprint related to the manufacturing of high end items to leading companies within diverse product segments. The documentation was subsequently handed over to the customer for further processing.

2021 – 2022 | CE marking of an integrated manufacturing system | Freelance
External consultant at a company belonging to the medico industry.
Responsible for an overall CE marking of an integrated manufacturing system (IMS). Technical file; risk assessment and documentation. The work was partly carried out at the customer’s production site in Central Europe, where the machinery was installed in autumn 2021 and subsequently commissioned in early 2022. The task also involved consultancy and support to the customer’s own engineers in preparing a comprehensive user manual (in the native language) according to EN ISO 20607:2019 Safety of machinery – Instruction handbook – General drafting principles.

2021 | IDDAS – International Due Diligence Association Danmark | Freelance pro bono
Management System specialist and Group leader of the functional area group ‘OPERATIONS’ in connection with the definition and development of a new SME Due Diligence Standard. Managing the initial activities related to the DANAK accreditation of IDDAS as a verification body; the pre-establishment of the SME Due Diligence Standard and scheme as well as the pre-establishment of a management system according to DS/EN ISO/IEC 17029:2019 Conformity Assessment – General principles and requirements for validation and verification bodies.

External consultant at a company belonging to the manufacturing industry.
Management systems consultancy regarding the establishment, implementation and certification of an environmental management system according to ISO 14001:2015 and and occupactional health and safety management system according to ISO 45001:2018.

Consultancy regarding CE marking and technical documentation of an integrated manufacturing system (IMS).

2021 | Workplace assessment (APV) | Freelance
External consultant at a company belonging to the surface treatment industry.
Update of an existing workplace assessment (APV) and action plan in accordance with the rules laid down by Danish Working Environment Authority.

2021 | CSR profile og material | Freelance
External consultant at a company belonging to the iron and metal trading industry.
Establishing a preliminary CSR profile and material according to the UN’s 10 Global Compact principles, the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SGD) and DS/ISO 26000:2010. Including mapping, stakeholder analysis, supplier Code of Conduct and CSR declarations.

2019 – 2020 | Project management and documentation | Tritec Maskinteknik A/S
Project manager and freelance engineer. Industrial automation.
Assigned to manage and follow up on two specific projects respectively related to the start-up and running-in of complex machineries for special purposes to the medico industry.
Establishing the framework for standard CE documentation according to the customers specifications and requirements, the Machinery Directive and related ISO standards. Communication and collaboration with the customers and suppliers in Denmark as well as abroad. Nudging the cross-functional cooperation.

2016 – 2018 | Occupational health and safety – Legislation, guidelines and standards | Freelance
External consultant at a German company belonging to the scaffolding industry.
Evaluation and implementation of applicable Danish working environment legislation, corresponding DS/EN/ISO standards and parts of the Building Regulations (BR18) – primarily in connection with the preparation or updating of assembly and user instructions as well as fact sheets aimed at the construction industry.

2013 – 2014 | Project management and facilitation | Foreningen bips
Project manager. Construction industry.
Managing projects and facilitating activities related to creating and maintaining standard de facto specifications applicable to the entire construction industry in Denmark. Managing and facilitating the work of the technical editors which are/were appointed to outline and write the standard specifications within the building installation and automation areas; defining, coordinating and following up on activities and tasks. Reporting to the board of directors and steering committees. Creating prospects and project definitions, project time schedules and budget estimates. Supporting the digitalization of the specifications.

The bips association (Foreningen bips) was a self-governing association for sharing information within construction.The association was closed down in 2017 and is now a part of Molio – Construction Information Centre. BIPS stands for Byggeri, Informationsteknologi, Produktivitet and Samarbejde.

2011 – 2013 | Process and quality management | Freelance
Internal consultant at a company belonging to the surface treatment industry.
Responsible of defining, creating and implementing a system (database) for registration of product and process parameters, including a preliminary quality system for assurance and control according to DS/EN ISO 9001:2008. Subsequent support at a freelance basis.

2009 – 2011 | Project management and facilitation | FLSmidth A/S, Automation
Project manager. Industrial automation.

Responsible of defining and maintaining standard engineering solutions of automated laboratory- and sampling equipment applicable to the cement industry (QCX). Sustaining the idea of standard solutions as a conceptual project; creating business cases, reporting to steering committees, defining milestones, providing progress reports, etc.

Responsible of defining and kick-starting a standard solution concept relating to control systems, software applications and sub control systems applicable to the cement industry (ECS). Leading an internal survey of departmental activities and product portfolios in order to find similarities aimed at standardization.

Managing and facilitating cross-organizational collaboration within and between FLSmidth departments in Valby (Denmark) and Chennai (India), and FLSmidth product companies in Wuppertal (Germany) and Brno (Czech Republic).
Defining, coordinating and following up on standardization activities and tasks.
Collaborating with and supporting product management and project execution, from sales scope to engineering and commissioning.
