2011 | baldvinsdóttir was founded by Solveig Einarsson, when she quit her full-time job and started working as a freelance engineer and internal consultant. She had previously worked as a freelance internal consultant on an ad hoc basis in 2005, and alongside her full-time job since 2010.

2015 | baldvinsdóttir v/Solveig Einarsson was registred as a sole proprietorship with a CVR-number.
2024 | the company name was changed to baldvinsdóttir consulting.
